Using Photoshop
In this photo the rules I used were the rule of thirds , lines and simplicity. My subject is in the left third of the photo against a plain background and the lines on the floor are all leading towards the subject. The subject of this photo is the boy working on his homework. Its very clear what the subject is because he's the closest to the camera and the most in-focus part of the picture.
In this photo the rule I used was simplicity and rule of thirds, because the boy is the center of the photo becoming the main focus against a plain background. I think I left a few mergers in this photo with the other students cut off and the desks running into the boy. The subject of this photo is the boy with headphones on in the middle of the photo. Its clear who the subject is because he is the only person in the photo and he's in the center.
In this photo I used balance because there are two people on each side of the photo. The subjects of this photo are the two students but I think its a little unclear since one is looking away. I think it would be more clear if I took it from closer up and at a different angle where they are both more the center of the photo.
Very nice images. I liked all three of them. I think you made an excellent decision to put the top one in black and white. The others are strong. The bottom one could have been amazing with a little more of her face showing. I love the interaction between them. If you had be just a little bit more in front of them, you would have gotten both of their faces and it would have been a really good photo. The middle on is pretty standard.
