My First Interview

Interview with: Andre Kachkine
1. How does it feel to be student of the month? It feels really good, i've been working really hard so i'm pretty proud of myself.
2. What classes are you taking? Im taking all pre-AP class and a lot of STEM classes.
3. What electives are you taking? Im taking BIM, Photo Journalism, PE, and AP Spanish 4.
4. Do you play any sports, if so is it hard to maintain your grades and be involved in a sport? I mountain bike, i'm on the team, and no its not too difficult to keep up with if I just manage my time well. 
5. Are you involved in any clubs or other outside school activities?Along with the mountain bike team i'm in the mountain bike club.
6. What are your plans for after high school? My plan is to go to college and i'm going to try and get into UT.
7. Is it a lot of work to maintain your grades? No its not too much work, i'm very good at managing my time and balancing everything.
8. What did your family say about you being student of the month?My parents said that I don't deserve it, they are very strict.
9. How do you like to spend your time outside of school?I spend most of my time working on school work and when I have extra time I spend it with my friends.
10. Do you have any tips for other students trying to do better in school? I would tell other kids that they need to really focus in class, focus on the future, and don't be afraid to ask for help from your teachers.
11. Was it a goal for you to be student of the month?Not really, I actually didn't know it existed, I just work to do good in school.
12. What other notable achievements do you have?I can speak four languages.
13. What grade are you in, and how old are you?Im in 9th grade and I am 15.
14. What kind of career are you looking into?I want to look into a career in business.
15. What teachers at Bowie do you think have helped with your success the most?I think the elective teachers have helped me the most, they are the ones I really make bonds with and they give me a lot of encouragement.
16. In what ways has this teacher helped you?They offer me opportunities my other teachers don't and they give me work in things i'm actually interested in.
17. Do you think your school plays a big role in your success, why or why not?No i don't think my school helps me that much because I don't like how they run things.
18. Are there any other people who have contributed to your success?Probably the counselors because they help make decisions that will have my future in best interest.
19. How would you describe the environment at school?Honestly the environment at school is kind of hostile and not welcoming.
20. What techniques do you use to keep up with everything?I spend my free time in school doing work so that I don't have to do it later.
